Alaska's Sadie Cove Wilderness Lodge now open year round!

A sheltered oasis in untamed Kachemak Bay State Park, the lodge lies just north of
Tutka Bay and only 10 miles by boat from Homer, Alaska, the Bear Viewing Capital of the World. Custom built in the mid 1970's by owner/operator Keith
Iverson and accessible only by boat, float plane, or helicopter, Sadie Cove
Wilderness Lodge offers the visitor a unique opportunity to participate first hand in
Alaska's wilderness lifestyle with a true Alaskan sourdough.

Nestled between the dramatic vertical peaks of Sadie fjord are a
variety of accommodations in private, hand-crafted cabins - a
sauna and bath house next to a rushing creek; a communal
entertainment and T.V. lounge; a dining hall complete with
professional chef/waitress; and an Alaskan sized Barbecue/fire pit.
The atmosphere is rustic elegance, a great place for a honeymoon,
a holiday or a family reunion.

Activities include halibut or salmon fishing, hiking the State Park trails, wildlife
photography, bear viewing, glacier touring, flightseeing, sea kayaking, clamming, berry
picking, touring the neighboring villages of Seldovia and Halibut Cove, beach fires, or
just plain relaxing.

Come join our adventure!
In hand crafted cabins, visitors to Alaska's Sadie Cove Wilderness Lodge are transported to a place where the troubles of the
outside world fall away like leaves in the wind. Reminiscent of the bygone Viking era with details so often seen in the Norwegian
countryside, construction of the lodge has been an ongoing labor of love for owner/operator Keith Iverson. Each building is
unique, elegant, and comfortable, with stunning views of Sadie Cove and (on clear days) far off Mt. Augustine, one of Alaska's
active volcanoes.

Electricity is provided by an in-house hydroelectric system operating from a swift
stream which originates a few thousand feet up the mountain. The water comes from
the snowy peaks of Sadie Cove and is the purest imaginable.
Lodge guests (no more than 10) are housed in private cabins. Homestyle gourmet
breakfast and dinner are served in the kitchen and on the outer deck. A cozy, spacious
lounge is available to guests for reading, gaming, visiting, or just relaxing and enjoying
the sunset.

As our world becomes increasingly technological,
we have come to feel a need for those rare places
which retain their natural beauty and individuality. Visiting Sadie Cove is its own reward in
that respect and still there are those special touches and small details which remind us of days
when the words "craftsmanship" and "personality" had deeper meaning. Uncrowded except
for a night sky glittering with stars and, on special occasions, the Northern Lights, Sadie
Cove Wilderness Lodge offers you several cozy cabins to suit the tastes of the adventurer
and the romantic alike. All of the cabins have running water, electricity, heat, fresh air-dried
linens and blankets, a view of the cove, an outdoor deck with chairs, and full housekeeping
services. Far from run-of-the-mill hotel or B & B accommodations, when you awaken at Sadie Cove there is no doubt that you
are in a special place creatively and ingeniously designed to survive Alaska's harsh winters and warm summers.

You can't get much closer to nature than a comfortable stay at Sadie.
