Hotel Jen Tanglin Singapore (formerly known as Traders Hotel) was rebranded by Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts in September 2014 . The hotel in the Orchard Road retail district, connects to Tanglin Mall where retail shops, cafes, restaurants, a supermarket and pharmacy are within easy reach . Located within walking distance of the embassy district, the hotel attracts embassy visitors as well as business and leisure travelers . Complimentary scheduled shuttle buses provide transport to Orchard Road, the Shangri-La Hotel, Singapore, Suntec City, Shenton Way and selected business districts . Guests and Club members who stay in any of the 546 non-smoking rooms, suites, or apartments can choose from four restaurants and bars, including a poolside restaurant, a casual pub, and a casual cafe . A lush garden surrounds a freeform outdoor pool, children's pool, and jacuzzi . The fitness centre has saunas, steam rooms, and treatment rooms (surcharge) offering massage therapy, reflexology, and aromatherapy . The hotel's business centre offers high-speed Internet access and secretarial services at reasonable rates . Ten meeting rooms and a ballroom that accommodates 350 guests make the hotel an excellent place for hosting an event . Renovation Notice For the final phase of upgrading, the reception counter will be relocated temporarily from August 12th to October 28th 2015 to make way for a brand new lobby . Direct access will be available from the driveway to the interim lobby and elevators . The entire upgrading program is scheduled to complete by December 2015 . Please continue to enjoy the International buffet breakfast that would be served with the same variety and spread in the function rooms on level 2 . The large and much-loved pool, gym, Ah Hois Kitchen and function rooms will continue to operate as usual . The renovation works will only be conducted from 9am - 7pm on weekdays and 10am " 7pm on weekends . In addition, the floors undergoing works will be completely sealed off .
