Arizona State Museum is the oldest and largest anthropology museum in the region (est. 1893), an affiliate of the Smithsonian Institution, and home of the world’s largest and most comprehensive collections of Southwest American Indian pottery and American Indian basketry.
Special Events
In addition to exciting rotating exhibits, ASM hosts a full calendar of public events that celebrate the diverse cultural traditions of the Southwest. The hightlight of Arizona State Museum's annual calendar is the Southwest Indian Art Fair every February.
