We will have cooking classes, wine tastings, photography and painting opportunities as well as day tours of towns and villages outside of Pienza.

We will have a private bus take us to Florence to spend the day. On another day we will go to Montepulciano for a wine tasting, lunch and tour of the local vineyards and meet with the wine makers.

Day 1 25th August : Rome to Pienza
Rome Airport to Pienza . Private bus. Arrive in Pienza early afternoon. Evening at own leisure.
Day 2 : Pienza
Explore to city of Pienza, designed by Pope Pius II, was among the first planned urban towns in Europe and has been used as a model for towns all over Europe. Pienza itself, is a small town nestled in the heart of the unexploited and unspoiled Val d'Orcia Valley, Tuscany. Pienza has been included on the list of UNESCO's World Heritage Sites. Day 3 : Florence.
We depart Pienza around 9:30 am after breakfast and head off to Florence . Today we spend the entire day in Florence, the "Renaissance capital of the world". We plan to leave Lucignano around 9:00 am for the short trip to Florence. Florence rose to fame and importance as a center of art and culture under the rule of the powerful de Medici family. Home to masters like Michelangelo, Leonardo da Vinci, Machiavelli, Dante Alighieri and so many others it is considered the "jewel" of Italy by many. In Florence we will find Michelangelo's Statue of David at the Accademia as well as the works of masters like Botticelli, Titan, Raphael at the Uffizi Gallery. We will try to allow some time to shop at one of the open-air markets or the Ponte Vecchio Bridge shops. At the end of the day we will take a few minutes for a unique panoramic view of the city from atop the Belvedere before we head back to Pienza for dinner at approx. 8:00 pm.
Day 4 : Pienza. Cooking lesson.
Day 5 : Chianti area.
Today we spend the whole day discovering the most famous region of Italy, Chianti! World renowned for it's Chianti red wine, it stretches from Florence to Siena and offers some of the most beautiful countryside in Italy. We will visit the towns of Vertine ( painting ) in Chianti as well as Brolio Castle and Meleto Castle where we stopn for wine tasting and light lunch. Light lunch and win tasting included. After our day in Chianti, we return to Pienza for dinner. Today we
Day 6
Full day in Pienza.
Day 7: Montepulciano, Monticchiello, Bagno Vignoni
After breakfast, we head to the historic town of Bagno Vignoni. Bagno Vignoni is an Italian village and hamlet of San Quirico d'Orcia, situated on a hill above the Val d'Orcia in Tuscany. It is a popular tourist destination and well known for its hot springs. We continue to Monticchiello. Monticchiello rises on a hill surrounded by the Siena countryside near the town of Pienza. The particular beauty of the country designed by millennial work, the valuable urban landscape away from the main lines of communication give the feeling of being in the heart of Tuscany. From the surrounding country this small village shows its cassero tower that stands on top of the roofs of its houses and the remains of the walls and towers of the old castle. Leaving Monticchiello we will be in Montepulciano which attracts tourists from all over the world. This hilltop city offers a great number of historical sites and monuments of architectural significance. Montepulciano also commands beautiful views of the surrounding hills and valleys. We will stop for lunch and wine tasting in an old winery .After lunch , we visit the town and have sometime for a nice painting lesson. We will leave to town around 6 pm. Pienza is just 20 minutes away.
Day 8 : Pienza.
This is the alst day of the workshop. We planned to stay all day in Pienza for our last lesson.

Day 9 2nd of September : Pienza to Rome airport.
We have our private bus ready to take us to Rome airport. Departing time to be arranged.
