On our way we make a stop at a boutique cheese dairy. On the farm, cheese has been produced since 1988. All the milk is bought from local farmers and produced in unpolluted nature. You will be shown the cheese production and visit cheese aging rooms. A visit to a family-owned fish hatchery. Guests are taken in boats to fish hatcher basins and have a look at the fish farm renowned for the Piran sea bass grown in unpolluted waters. You will learn many a detail required for achieving high nutritional value of the Piran comber in an unpolluted environment.
You will visit sightseeing in the ancient town Piran (the Piranka house, parish church, town wall...). Situated on a romantic promontory with a church and walls on its tip. Its narrow streets and alleys remind us of the once powerful Republic of Venice, under which role Piran used to be for quite a long time.

You set out for a boutique wine growing region Goriška Brda.
You will visit the village of Dobrovo (a Renaissance castle) and a medieval village Šmartno, which boasts mighty walls and a viewing tower, from where one, in fine weather, can see as far as the Adriatic Sea.
You make a stop at a farm where the tasting of oil, wine, fruit- cherry ... takes place (home made products can also be bought).
Wine tasting at wine grower's with a long family tradition in this branch and numerous wine awards. You will be taken to a boutique wine cellar, where you will get familiar with the wine production procedure. After that, wine tasting in a tasting room with a magnificent view of vineyards takes place. With wine you will taste cheeses and meat delicacies from the region (prosciutto, salami).

Bookings will be considered as confirmed only after receiving reconfirmation - a contract - either by mail. The contract means that the clients have accepted the general conditions listed below, mainly those concerning the prices, cancellations and payment conditions.
When making a reservation, the traveler shall confirm it by paying 50% of the price
(unless specified otherwise in the program). The remaining balance of the full price
shall be paid not less than 8 days prior to the beginning of travel, or documents shall
be provided which fully secure the payment of the total price by the balance due date.
When making a reservation 8 days before departure, the traveler shall confirm it
by paying 100% of the price (unless specified otherwise in the program).
Payment can be made by a bank transfer .
CANCELLATION OF TRAVEL ARRANGEMENTS BY THE TRAVELLER:
If the traveler cancels travel arrangements, company shall retain an amount from the
total price as follows (unless otherwise specified in the program):
up to 30 days prior to departure 10% of the price
29-22 days prior to departure 30 % of the price
21-15 days prior to departure 40 % of the price
14-8 days prior to departure 80 % of the price
7-0 days prior to departure 100 % of the price
after departure 100 % of the price
These costs shall also apply to a change of the departure date and of the
accommodation establishment made at the traveler’s request, as well as to other such

CANCELLATION BY COMPANY OR CHANGES TO THE TRAVEL PROGRAM
Company reserves the right to change the date and/or time of departure by unforeseen
circumstances, and also the right to change the route of travel if travel conditions
change (natural disasters, or other circumstances beyond Company’s control), without
being liable for damages.
Company shall not be liable for changes resulting from unforeseen circumstances during the journey. In such cases, it may provide services as dictated by circumstances. Company reserves the right to cancel the travel program at the latest 5 days prior to departure. The total amount shall be returned to the traveler.
Any claim has to be communicated to our agency during the stay or within a maximum of 7 days after end of arrangement with the agency. No claim will be accepted afterwards. All claims should be sent in written form to the agency.
Negotiation is considered a general method of solving problems or discrepancies concerning the fulfilment of the contract. In case that the results of such negotiations are not found satisfactory by either of the parties, courts in the Slovenia are considered the courts of appeal and arbitration.
When rates on the market increase substantially (fuel, hotels etc) the agency has the right to change the rates published. Prices are informative and are subject to change without notice. “Gourmetravel” is not responsible for any change in prices that may occur due to a decision made by the administration of the individual sites.
