Bisbee, Arizona, is in the southeast corner of the state, just a few miles from Mexico and near to Tombstone (Gunfight at the OK Corral), Benson (see the newly opened Kartchner Caverns while you are here!), Sierra Vista (Fort Huachuca is the Home of the Buffalo Soldiers and Ramsey Canyon is world famous for its birding and complex ecosystems) and more. An 18-hole golf course is just four miles from the hotel and hiking, biking, shopping and museums are all on the agenda.

The main hotel, built in 1917, is a two-story brick building. Maintaining as many of the original features as possible, we have added private bathrooms to sixteen of the twenty rooms and offer a choice of accommodation from twin and full-sized to queen and king-sized beds. Each room has its own unique wallpaper and beds feature hand-stitched quilts. We have recently installed a phone system which features FAX/modem jacks for our business travelers. A TV/VCR is located in the library/lounge area and ashtrays are available on the front porch (no smoking is permitted within the hotel or annex for the comfort and safety of all). Our dining room features a sunken, two-story, skylighted atrium in which we serve a full, country breakfast. On weekends we frequently offer a breakfast buffet which includes Kathleen's Biscuits and Gravy.

The Hotel La More Annex, built in 1905, is also a brick structure and is reached by climbing a flight of stairs from street level. This is NOT for the weak-kneed or others with health problems, but the view is magnificent. The Annex features three suites, one one-bedroom and two two-bedroom units with full kitchens and living rooms with queen-sized sleeper sofas. The bedrooms have queen or king-sized beds (with quilts) and are furnished with antique and period pieces.

NOW OPEN is our saloon, conference area, and lounge, next door to the main hotel. This building was built in 1910 of poured concrete to overcome the threat of fire. Featuring exposed stone walls and a restored tin ceiling, the saloon's centerpiece is a 24-foot tiger-mahogany backbar which originally graced a tavern in Globe, Arizona. This 130-year old piece came by ship from England around the Cape (this was before the advent of the Panama Canal!) and elegantly represents Empire/Victorian styling at its finest. The conference center below has an exposed-stone wall and the second floor (originally a boarding house and still under construction) will offer an additional six guest rooms, some with original footed tubs. The Saloon/conference center is available for weddings and private parties; there is live entertainment most weekends.
