Activity/Tour
Moderate activity. No special skills needed.
Typical Day
Today you’ll enjoy an energetic day in the Andes, travelling back in time. You will visit local communities and quaint Andean villages such as Agato, where the locals weave with back-strap looms dating back to the days of the Incas. You may also visit Cochasqui, a 1000-year-old complex of 15 pyramids made of volcanic ash. After lunch you may visit Cuicocha, a crater lake that was explored by the legendary Jacques Cousteau. This is the deepest lake in Ecuador, and for nature lovers there is a scenic trail around its shore. At the end of the day, you will return to Hacienda Pinsaqui for dinner and overnight.
