The inn's atmosphere is rural, relaxed, and informal. Like the chalets in Austria, the inn has large exposed wood beams. There are: a large living room with 20 foot window (where breakfast is also served) and large stone fireplace; cozy self-serve pub/gameroom with woodstove and booths that are perfect for a game of backgammon or checkers; balconies; garden deck; 40 acres of hiking/cross country skiing trails in the forest behind the inn; full country breakfasts that include homemade breads, fresh fruit creations, and hearty main dishes.

Rooms with private baths, rooms that share a connecting bathroom with the room next door, two suites on the third floor. Also cabins that are open from late May through the end of October (main building is open year around). The rooms are furnished with antiques, quilts, comforters. The cabins have woodstoves. All rooms have one or two queen size beds.
