Active Adventure
Whitewater rafting on the Ocoee River in beautiful southeast Tennessee. Features class III and IV whitewater. No experience is necessary for our Ocoee rafting adventures as a trained guide accompanies each raft. Minimum age to participate is 12 years of age.
The Middle Ocoee Trip is 5 miles of the most continuous class III/IV whitewater in the U.S.; it runs through the beautiful Cherokee National Forest where you will experience the thrill of over 17 major rapids providing miles of big waves and fun. Plan 4 hours from check-in to departure with approx. 2 hours on the river. This section is available on Saturdays and Sundays in April plus Memorial Day Monday; everyday except Tuesdays and Wednesday in June, July and August; all Saturdays and Sundays in September and October plus Labor Day Monday.
The Upper Ocoee Trip is 5 miles of class III/IV whitewater and runs through the 1996 Olympic whitewater competition course. This section offers great scenery and of course big whitewater! Plan 4.5 hours from check-in to departure with approx. 1 hour 45 minutes on the river. This trip is available on select Saturdays July and August. For large groups other days may be arranged.
The Full River Trip combines both the Upper & Middle sections of the Ocoee for a world-class whitewater adventure. You will be treated to a fantastic riverside lunch served next to Humongous, one of the largest rapids on the river. Lunch includes 4 deli meats, cheeses & breads with all the trimmings to create your own sandwiches, along with peel-n-eat shrimp, fresh fruit, chips, cookies & drinks. A snack and bottled water are available after your trip. Plan 7 hours with us from check-in to departure with approx. 5 hours on the river. This trip is available on May 14, 21, 28, 29; all Saturdays and Sundays in June, July and August; September 3, 4, 10 and 17.

Typical Day
You will need to arrive 30 minutes prior to your trip time for check in, signing waivers and changing clothes. Your trip leader will call your trip, explain the gear needed, your ride to the river, prepare you to get wet and to have some fun. Everyone will board a bus for a short ride to the river and along the way you'll be told about your trip, the river area and receive your guide's name. At the put-on you will have an instruction period, safety orientation and some time to practice with your guide before you descend the river. On your way down river your guide will tell you about the area, give you each rapid's name and along the way the trip will stop to swim and take in the great scenery. After your trip you will return to our headquarters for hot showers and a slide show of your trip with photos available. You can also plan a catered meal or picnic before or after your trip, play volleyball on our sand court or shop in our gift store.
Age range, type of group
Our trips are popular with families, couples, friends, corporate groups, church and youth outings. All rafters must be 12 years of age.
Sleeping and meals
Our mountain cabin rentals are located on 25 wooded acres bordering the Cherokee National forest. Each cabin is fully furnished with a full kitchen, central heat/air, satellite TV, covered front porch, charcoal grill, and all towels/linens are provided. There is also a sand volley ball court on property as well as an outdoor fireplace at each cabin. 1 bedroom cabin sleeps 2, 2 bedroom cabin sleeps 4-7 and 3 bedroom cabin sleeps 6-9. Rates begin at $125/night plus tax, minimum 2 night rental.
Group wilderness campground available. Groups of 15+ receive 1 free night camping with your rafting reservations.
Group Lodging available on our main property. Each bunk house sleeps up to 30, has 2 sleeping wings with 15 bunks in each; 2 large bathrooms each with 4 showers, 4 toilets and a double sink; refrigerator and sink in common area; covered front porch; and access to our pavilion and charcoal grills. Rate for each bunk house is $250/night for up to 20 guests and $12.50/night for each additional guest plus tax.
Group wilderness campground available. Groups of 15+ receive 1 free night camping with your rafting reservations.
