Tamarind Beach Hotel is a bungalow hotel by the white sandy beaches of the Indian Ocean. Accommodation is set in a peaceful and friendly atmosphere, all rooms facing one of the most beautiful and unspoilt beaches in Zanzibar. This is one of the first hotels to be established in Zanzibar. Tamarind Beach Hotel is situated in Uroa Village, a traditional fishing village, on the east coast of Zanzibar. From town it takes 40 minutes by car (36km), tarmac road all the way.

The boat service Dar es Salaam-Zanzibar is very good, many departures daily and the crossing takes 1 hour 45 minutes.
