You may not realize it but Shanty Creek is a pretty, big deal.
How big is it? About 5,500 acres. That's almost 8 square miles! Within that footprint are four distinct Shanty Creek villages-Cedar River, Schuss, Summit, and Hawk's Eye, featuring different lodging options, dining venues, and out-the-door recreation.

To help you choose the village that fits you best, the following overview should help you better understand the resort's villages.

SUMMIT VILLAGE
Known to many as the original Shanty Creek, Summit Village features the majority of lodging options. It also is home to The Lakeview Conference Center, the Wellness Spa + Fitness Center, the Summit Mountain Alpine Tubing Park, and The Legend and Summit golf courses.

CEDAR RIVER VILLAGE
Cedar River Village features a modern style and architecture with larger all-suites accommodations in The Lodge, plus beautifully appointed Slopeside and Golfside condos. All Cedar River Village accommodations are ski-in/-out, just steps from the slopes of Schuss Mountain.

SCHUSS VILLAGE
Schuss Village comes alive during winter season with cross country and alpine skiing, and features budget-conscious ski-in/-out lodging options.

HAWK'S EYE VILLAGE
Hawk's Eye village features the resort's newest golf course addition, Hawk's Eye GC.
