Known for our year-round outstanding hospitality, clean and comfortable cabins & lodge rooms, and affordable lodging rates, the Historic Tamarack Lodge & Cabins is situated in a spectacular scenic mountain valley in the midst of the Montana Rockies.

As an AAA Diamond Member, we offer private Glacier National Park Cabin Rentals and Lodge Room accommodation.

Located in the heart of Bad Rock Canyon and just minutes outside of the west entrance to the Glacier National Park, the Flathead National Forest is in our backyard and we are a convenient drive to nearby Bigfork, Flathead Lake, Lakeside, Kalispell, Whitefish and West Glacier, Montana.

The Main Lodge--originally built in 1907 and updated in 2003--provides classic ambiance with modern amenities, 3400 square feet of rustic charm and still boasts its original over-sized natural stone fireplace and lodgepole pine architecture.

Bike Rental
With Montana's Rocky Mountains as your backdrop, the Historic Tamarack Lodge and Cabins will provide you with the perfect setting for your next family vacation, corporate retreat, or weekend getaway.

We offer a selection of 22 private cabins and have recently remodelled the lodge to include four lodge rooms, each with attached bath.

Our cabins are also available now for long-term rental from October through May. Ask us about discounted weekly and monthly rates.

Lodge Rooms
Our cabins are each designed with our guests in mind. From our motel style unit cabins with knotty-pine interior to our largest two bedroom family cabins with private decks, attention to detail has been our goal.

Four brand new lodge rooms are available from June 2013. Each room has an attached bath and access to the lodge great room.

Our Merritt cabin is ADA approved and offers a wheelchair accessible full bath and full kitchen along with one queen bed in a studio setting.

Our cabins are also available now for long-term rental from October through May. Ask us about discounted weekly and monthly rates.

Mountain Bike rental, fishing equipment and snowshoe rental available on request. 10% off local activities such as fishing, snowmobiling, rafting and horseback riding.

The lodge is open from 7am to 12pm and from 3pm to 10pm in the summer (June 1st - September 31st) and 3:00p.m. to 7:00p.m. in the winter (October 1st - May 31st). Children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
We are animal lovers, but adopt a NO PET POLICY at the Historic Tamarack Lodge.
ALL ROOMS are NON-SMOKING. Smoking areas have been established.
A 50% NON-REFUNDABLE deposit is taken at time of booking a reservation.
100% is charged if your cancel your reservation within 7 days of your intended arrival date.
Check in is 3p.m. to 8pm. Late check-ins must have approval PRIOR to arrival. Check-out time is 10am.
