Hiking the West Coast Trail or North Coast Trail requires a fairly high level of fitness. These hikes are moderately strenuous. A typical pack weighs 35 to 50 lbs. (16 to 23 kg), and is carried over varied terrain requiring stepping up higher than normal steps and bending and ducking to get around obstacles.Some preparation is helpful.
Typical Daykeyboard_double_arrow_up
Rising around 6:00 am to breakfast and pack up, we generally begin hiking around 8:00 am. After regular rest stops, lunch is typically around 1:30 pm. Continuing after lunch, we typically arrive at our camp site around 4:00 to 5:00 pm. Some times vary depending on tidal dependencies on the trail. Dinner is usually around 6:00 to 7:00.

Groups typically range from mid-thirties to mid-sixties, usually a mix of individuals, friend pairs, and couples.

Tents are provided and sleeping arrangements are worked out at the beginning of the tour. Meals are prepared by the guides at camp.
