Active Adventurekeyboard_double_arrow_up
Crab Apple Whitewater is a family owned and operated adventure business in New England. Since 1983, we have offered a wide range of Mild to WILD river rafting trips for families and high adventure seekers in central Maine and the Berkshire Hills of western Massachusetts. We have two beautiful, riverside base camps to keep our guests comfortable. Our guides are trained as family members and to treat each guest as the most important guest of the day...better guides mean better rides! We run trips on high water in the spring, on dam controlled Class 2-4 rapids in the summer and through fall foliage season. Let our family and Crab Apple staff show you the wonders of New England rivers.

River trips in the Berkshires run mostly on the dam controlled Deerfield River. Three sections of river offer WILD Class 3-4 rapids, an intermediate class 2 and 3 rapid stretch and a mild Class 1-2 stretch of river.

In the northern Berkshires of western Massachusetts, our base rests along the banks of the Deerfield River. 1,000 feet of river frontage give you a great view as you eat a delicious cookout after conquering the rapids. The base also includes a fun store filled with souvenirs and a snack bar. Listings of area B&B's, campgrounds and motels can be found on our full website.
Restrictionskeyboard_double_arrow_up
No care for pets is available on the premises. Our base is non-smoking. Outdoor decks are available for smoking. All of our facilities have state liquor licenses and outside beer and liquor is not allowed.

Minimum ages vary on all of our trips. They are low as 5 for a half-day mild trip up to 15 for our most aggressive trip.
