Turrialba Volcano is the most active volcano in Costa Rica, with continuous steam eruptions. You can ascend to the base of the volcano, to the cloud forest.
There's canyoning _ waterfalls, ropes, harnesses, gravity and TRUST. World class mountain bike competitions are here as well.
Within 20 minutes is Costa Rica's only pre-Columbian ruins, an hour away is an Indigenous community where you can ride horses. Ten minutes to the largest botanical garden in Costa Rica.
