Our first photo opportunity is at the Great Rift Valley view point where you will have the opportunity to take photos of the amazing landscape of the Great Rift Valley. Afterwards we drive towards Masai Mara with a small stopover in Narok town where you will have more opportunities for photos. This time it will be photography that is more about culture of the Maasai community who are pastoralists. We will arrive in time for lunch at your lodge / Camp.
Afternoon games drive in the famous Maasai Mara reserve.

The reserve is often called simply "The Mara" which is the Maa word meaning "Mottled" - a reference to the patchy landscape. Both spellings "Masai" and "Maasai" are acceptable although the latter is more usual when referring to the people. The Maasai are a proud semi-nomadic cattle-rearing people with a fascinating culture and are divided into a number of sub-tribes some of which share the Mara region.

15th, 16th, 17th, 18th & 19th August " Unlimited Game drives in the Maasai Mara.
Enjoy the remaining days in the Maasai Mara with early morning game drive or full day game watching with picnic lunch box under acacia tree. Maasai Mara is a magnificent landscape of open plains bisected by the Mara River and its tributaries, and punctuated by marshes and forests. Certainly the most frequented game reserve in Kenya, this 650 sq kilometer reserve supports the highest density of game to be seen anywhere. During the seasonal migrations, Maasai Mara is home to up to a million wildebeest and an equally impressive number of zebras that move into the area from neighboring Serengeti National Park, in Tanzania. The reserve is home to all the “big five” and it is also possible to observe; baboon, eland, ostrich, bat-eared fox, jackal and cheetah. The rivers abound with hippos and crocodiles.
The Mara is also noted for its abundance of lions - particularly the superb black manned males. You'll see lots of elephants here often in large herds, as well as - if you're lucky - leopard, cheetah and rhino. All of the Big Five are residents. You're sure to see the African buffalo. Get the cameras ready, stock up on film and enjoy yourselves! All Meals and overnight at Basecamp Mara Camp.
