Typical Day
Amalelingue organizes Italian language and culture courses in Genoa, open to students of all ages and levels, spanning A1 (breakthrough) to C2 (mastery) (Common European Framework of Reference for Modern Languages of the Council of Europe).
Our Italian language courses are essentially communicative and practical, aimed at developing students' authentic linguistic and active skills. They may vary according to the number of classes, attendance and lesson type (standard, intensive, non-intensive, in 2, one-to-one, for seniors, Erasmus, online, in the workplace).
Our teachers are not only mother tongue but also specialized, highly qualified and experienced. The teaching method is basically communicative and the approach, as well as all the teaching material used, is continually being updated.
The proof of our expertise? We teach teachers.
Special programmes combine Italian with cookery, pilates, photography or sailing. And for those who want to return home with an upgraded CV, have a look at our dedicated certification courses in Italian.
Guided walks, Italian films, visits to museums and exibitions, slow tour (a special, gastronomy treat), aperitifs, a night out at the theatre or cinema are just a taste of our activity programme.
Students can start on any Monday and are to sit for an entrance test to find out which level is right for them. Online preliminary assessment available.

Upon request Amalelingue can help you find and arrange accommodation for you in private flats, bed & breakfasts, studio apartments or hostel. They are all located in the city centre, close to Amalelingue, or in areas conveniently reached by bus or metro.

Policies & Restrictions
General conditions
In order to take part in our activities, including courses, registration is required. The annual registration fee is € 50,00 and is strictly personal.
To enrol in our courses, please:
- fill in and e-mail the application form;
- pay in advance 30% of the total amount and the registration fee, within 30 days from the beginning of the course (if not otherwise specified);
- pay the balance in full at least 3 days before the starting date of the course.
Payments: by wire transfer
Bank and postal charges must be paid by the student.
If your accommodation is arranged by Amalelingue, we will let you know the details of the payment at confirmation.
Course cancellation or charges
In case you should cancel your participation, please notify us at least 20 days before the course starts, via e-mail or fax. Only in this case your advance payment can be refunded except € 50. No refund will be given for cancellations received less than 20 days before the course starts. In case you should change type, starting date or duration, please notify us at least 20 days before the course starts, via e-mail or fax. Less than 20 days may cause an extra charge.
Student visa
Upon request, Amalelingue can provide the following documents necessary to apply for a student visa at the Italian Embassy in your country:
- enrolment certificate, provided that we receive confirmation of payment by the bank for the whole amount of the course;
- course payment receipt;
- renting contract or hotel reservation, if arranged through Amalelingue.
If you have been denied the visa of entry, please notify us in writing at least 20 days before the course starts and attach copy of the document issued by the Italian Embassy proving the denial. Only in this case students can be refunded of the total amount paid except € 100 for general expenses.
Students waiting for the visa are kindly requested to notify possible delays.
