DAY 01 - COLOMBO CITYYou are met with traditional Sri Lankan hospitality at the airport, and then transported in your own private air-conditioned vehicle by our courteous English speaking Chauffeur-guide to Colombo City, where you will check-in to your brand new luxury hotel in the heart of the city, surrounded by all five star hotels, and also right next to the waterfront. This is an ideal place to stay in Colombo city, as everything is very nearby!After freshening up, you may attend a brief "familiarization meeting" where you can learn some basic interesting information about Sri Lanka, and discuss you upcoming tour itinerary, and even "fine-tune" it a bit, to meet your personal needs and requirements!In the evening, you will enjoy a very interesting City Tour which includes important residential and commercial districts, shopping centres, museums, parks, and also viewing various Buddhist and Hindu Temples where elaborate and beautiful carvings add to the mystical ambience of being in this exotic land. Before retiring for the night, why not enjoy a lovely walk on the seaside, with the quaint food stalls and gardens to remind you that you are truly in an exotic country!Overnight at the COLOMBO CONTINENTAL HOTEL, Colombo DAY 02 - PINNAWELA ELEPHANTS / DAMBULLA CAVE TEMPLE / SIGIRIYA ROCK FORTRESSAfter breakfast, you will visit the Pinnawela Elephant Orphanage, where baby elephants are cared for by man. Be sure to watch the morning feeding and bathing sessions, which are truly a sight to see! Following this, you will be taken to Dambulla, home of the famous Dambulla Rock Cave Temple, with it's marvelous Buddhist statues and frescoes dating back to our ancient times, all inside of an amazing cave! Finally, you arrive at Sigiriya, and check in to your luxury hotel just in front of the amazing Sigiriya Rock Fortress. If the time permits, climb the Rock of Sigiriya and viist Polonnaruwa.Overnight at the HOTEL SIGIRIYA, Sigiriya DAY 03 - KANDY HILL COUNTRY Today, you will depart for Kandy, the centre of traditional Sri Lankan culture, and home to the Kings of old. There are brief stops along the way, to visit an ancient Hindu Temple, the 8th century Nalanda Gedige - a curious hybrid of Buddhist & Hindu architecture, a Spice Garden, Batik Factory, Gem Shop & also a Wood Carving factory. After checking in to your beautiful hotel overlooking the scenic city and lake of Kandy, you will visit the beautiful Dalada Maligawa, "the Temple Of The Sacred Tooth Relic Of Lord Buddha", following which, you will enjoy a Cultural Dance Program. Overnight at the HOTEL TOPAZ, Kandy DAY 04 - KANDY HILL COUNTRYAfter breakfast, you will experience a refreshing nature walk at the Uda Watta Kale & afterwards you will enjoy a City Tour of Kandy, during which you will also visit the Embekka wood carving temple & Gadaladeniya stone carving temples, Upper Lake, Bahirawa Kanda Buddha statue, etc. Then, a leisurely visit to the Royal Botanical Gardens at Perideniya, where you can appreciate the wide variety of exotic flowers and plants. Overnight at the HOTEL TOPAZ, Kandy DAY 05 - INDURUWA BEACHAfter breakfast, you will enjoy a really scenic drive down the hills, of Sri Lanka, and enter the beautiful beach Induruwa Beach area .In Induruwa you will visit a Turtle Hatchery created to preserve this rare and beautiful creature, and in Hikkaduwa you will enjoy a tour in a "glass bottom boat" to view the amazing and exotic marine life and colourful fish living in the nearby coral reef. You will then check-in to one of the best beach resorts in Sri Lanka, where you can really relax and enjoy the pleasureable facilities available at this luxury hotel on the beach!Overnight at the INDURUWA BEACH RESORT, Induruwa DAY 06 - INDURUWA BEACHFree day to either relax on the golden sandy beach, swim in the wonderful pool at your luxury hotel, or perhaps try out some watersports!Overnight at the INDURUWA BEACH RESORT, Induruwa DAY 07 - LAST DAY / AIRPORT This is a day to relax and perhaps do some last minute souvenir shopping, and to say goodbye to beautiful & exotic Sri Lanka, and it's wonderful people, scenery, and mystical ambience, because today you will be transferred to the airport in time to board your flight home.
