Beautiful Cape Breton Island, Upper Margaree is amazing. Beautiful mountains, beaches, trails, fishing, boating, hiking and more! Watch for the bald eagles on the river. Fishing on the upper Margaree river for trout and salmon is world re-known. The property has a private brook right behind the house with foot bridge where you will find brook trout most of the time. The town of Inverness is a quick drive to restaurants, museums, tourism center, and beaches!(14 miles: 20minutes). You will find lots of Celtic music and culture in the area as well as the beautiful Cabot Links golf course!

A typical spring/summer/fall day at the farmhouse would include awakening to a misty mountain morning that soon transforms to a blissful and comfortable day. Mountains in the horizon and hummingbirds at the door is to be expected! The day is up to you....Egypt Falls(waterfalls), Inverness beach, a day of fishing on the Margaree, or reading a book outside on the porch...it's up to you. The house was built about 100 years ago by my Grandfather and remains in the family. Although up dates have been done over the years, you'll still feel the warm Nova Scotia farm feeling as you spend your days.
