The Mekong Delta is the southernmost region of Vietnam. Often referred to as the rice bowl of the country it currently produces three crops of rice per year. The fertile Mekong Delta is also famous for its tropical fruits and flowers. The Delta area is the end of a 4500 km journey the Mekong River makes, travelling through six countries.
The Mekong's Vietnamese name is Cuu Long, meaning Nine Dragons, so called because of the nine branches of the river that flow into the sea. The delta region has 12 provinces and has been a place of thriving agriculture and industry since the 1800s when the Nguyen lords reclaimed the area from marshland, building a network of canals. Situated on one of beautiful island in Mekong River, Cai Be Town, Tien Giang Province, Mekong Rustic stand beside Cai Be floating Market and inside fruit gardens which emphasize the beautiful but seldom visit rural area on the side of Mekong River.
With 80 per cent Vietnamese live in the countryside, visitor to Vietnam are rarely given opportunity to peek beneath the veil of this age-old-culture. It is our goal to set a benchmark in ecotourism here that can be replicated throughout the region. In order to do this, we need to continue to show our guests how most Vietnamese actually live, far removed from tourist hot pots which dot the country.
Beautiful natural surroundings notwithstanding, it's not surroundings nor the brick and mortar of villages which make up communities. It's the people.

Cancellation
Cancellations only become effective once the Mekong Rustic sales office receives notification of cancellation in writing. Should you be forced to cancel your cruise booking, the following terms will apply:

08 - 30 days prior to your check-in: 0% of total charge.
04 - 07 days prior to your check-in: 50% of total charge.
- 03 days prior to your check-in: 100% of total charge.
3 to 5 Rooms 08 - 30 days prior to your check-in: 0% of total charge.
04 - 07 days prior to your check-in: 50% of total charge.
- 03 days prior to your check-in: 100% of total charge.
Refunds
No refunds will be made for unused services or no-shows. Please allow up to 15 days for any refund to appear in your account. Currency
All cruises, visa, land tours and hotel prices and charges are quoted in USD unless otherwise indicated.
Insurance
On board insurance covers basic accidents on the vessel only, as required by Vietnamese law. We strongly recommend all passengers purchase their own appropriate insurance before departing for Vietnam and before your trip on Mekong Rustic.
Other Conditions
The maximum occupancy for any one room is two Adults and one Child under 12 years of age. Additional charges may apply for occupancy by more than two guests per room or suite.
Mekong Rustic may allow children to stay in the same room with parents either with or without an extra mattress. Our policy is not to charge for children under two years of age. Children aged from three to eleven (3 - 11) sharing a room with two adults on an extra mattress will be charged extra, and limited to one additional child per room only.
Two children under 12 years old and sharing a private room are charged at 75% of the adult rate. Children 12 years old and over will be charged at the adult rate.
Confirmed arrival and departure dates, number of rooms and passengers, passenger's names, passport and visa numbers, room category (SGL/DBL/TWIN), special requirements (e.g. gifts, dietary requirements, etc.) must be provided by passengers not less than seven days prior to check-in.
