Beacon Hill Guest House Bed & Breakfast is located on the coast between Galveston and Houston, Texas, at NASA's Space Center Houston and the vibrant Kemah Boardwalk. Holding the title of Texas' largest boating area, we are also the 3rd largest boating/recreation area in the U.S. Mild winter weather provides for year around recreation. Come for the seafood, the excitement, or relaxation, but stay at home with us. We serve generous portions of southern hospitality, and invite you to be among our distinguished guests, from British cyclist fame to American and European astonauts. Book early.
The B&B was a 1930s summer home, built by wealthy Houstonians on the north shore of Clear Lake, to escape the city heat. As one of the few lakefront homes still standing from earlier times, we are happy to share that relaxed, summer-time atmosphere savored by so many before us. Tall pines, oaks and magnolias invite nature's birds and squirrels to also enjoy our park-like lawns, while pelicans perform sky dives and fishermen drift past, competing for the catch of the day.
The Carriage House was originally built for servants, expanded to include a spacious king-size bedroom and updated to make you comfortable. This upstairs unit offers 2 bedrooms with kitchen, dinette area and small bathroom. Perfect for a cozy, private retreat, or short step to relocating to our area.
The bay houses are uniquely positioned on a man-made hill, 25 foot elevation in an area that averages 6 to 12 foot above sea level. A commanding view of boats on parade, with big, private decks, overlooking the vibrant Kemah Boardwalk.
The B&B is comprised of 4 bedrooms and 4 1/2 private baths. The downstairs master suite, facing the lake, boasts an antique, wood-carved, draped, king canopy bed, featuring a meditative Zen bathroom retreat. The upstairs Oriental themed master suite also faces the lake, draped king size bed, featuring a meditative Zen bathroom. Two queen size bedrooms offer your choice of southwestern theme or a cozy safari dream.
Bay houses are perfect for couples seeking complete privacy or families looking for home away from home. Short and long term leases available.
The B&B is within walking distance of restaurants and night clubs and offers free broad-band Internet connection; free nationwide long distance phone calls, including Canada, Ireland and England. We provide linens, towels, soaps, shampoos, conditioners, hair dryer, magnifying makeup mirrors, color TV with cable reception, feather-alternative pillows, feather beds, iron, ironing board, refrigerator and coffee maker with coffee, tea and hot chocolate on request.
