Join us for a week long kayaking expedition in the Queen Charlotte Islands also known as Haida Gwaii. Spend your days exploring ancient villages and your nights on board an 80' mothership.
Kayak in the mystic Queen Chalrotte Islands. Focus of the expedition is Anthony Island also known as Ninstins home to the abandoned Haida village. Spend your days kayaking, sightseeing and learning the history and culture of the Haida. At night board the 80' ROLANO for dining, hot showers, and camaraderie.
After a complete breakfast, launch kayaks and prepare for the days exploring expedition. A packed lunch/or lunch on board and more paddling in the afternoon. Arrive back at the mother ship for appies, hot showers, an afternoon nap. Dinner is set as we reposition the boat for the next days adventure. Sunset dinner cruises, evening paddles and evening entertainment.
Two private accommodations each with single and double berths, three semi-private accommodations with two large twin berths in each. Two heads with hot showers, salon to seat up to 10 for dining and evening entertainment. Library featuring books on the areas we travel, wildlife and an assortment of novels. Three meals and snacks are served daily. Wine served with dinner. Limited amounts of beer. Crew of the ROLANO are certified with Food Safe, Serving it Right and more!
We ask that you are able to get along with a group of people, agile enough to get in and out of kayaks, up and down a 5 step ladder and find yourself amongst forests, beaches, and wilderness areas.
All crew and vessel are certified with Transport Canada. Certified kayak guide accompanies you while kayaking. Full time captain, engineer and cook also complement crew.
