The Rocks sits at the top of Melton hill in the CBD of Townsville and is Townsville's most historic home. The three verandahs enjoy a constant sea breeze and have panoramic views over Magnetic Island and Cleveland Bay. All rooms are full of antiques and collectables, each with its own unique ambience.

Each room is individually decorated and furnished in period style.They vary is size and style according to where they are located and when they were built. For example one of the largest rooms is the operating theatre, built when it was a hospital. It has a 20 foot cathedral ceiling.
