Typical Day
Day 1: Nairobi - Arusha - Tarangire
Depart for Arusha arriving in time for lunch. After lunch, continue to Tarangire National Park. Dinner and Overnight at the camp. (LD)
Day 2: Tarangire National Park
Enjoy morning and afternoon game drives in the park. Lesser kudu, eland, lion and gerenuk can be found in this beautiful park, noted for its multitude of baobab trees and its tree-climbing lions. Overnight at the camp. (BLD)
Day 3: Lake Manyara
After breakfast, depart for Lake Manyara National Park where you arrive in time for lunch. Take an afternoon game drive in this enchanting park where troops of baboons are often seen marching by the lush forest on the lakeside. Hippo and buffalo share the lake with some 350 species of birds, but the park is most famous for its tree-climbing lion that can be spotted draped over branches of acacia trees. Overnight at Lake Manyara Lodge or equivalent. (BLD)
Day 4: Serengeti National Park
After breakfast, drive to the Serengeti, arriving in time for lunch. After a rest period, embark on an afternoon game drive on the vast plains of the Seronera Valley. Overnight at the camp. (BLD)
Days 5 & 6: Serengeti National Park
Spend two days tracking game through the inspiring landscapes of the Serengeti. Return to the lodge for lunch. Witness the immensity of the park and the amazing numbers of hoofed animals (zebra, wildebeest, antelopes…) as well as predators it shelters during another exciting afternoon game drive. Dinner and overnights at the camp. (BLD)
Day 7: Ngorongoro Area
After breakfast, proceed to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, passing Olduvai Gorge known as the “berth of humanity’ for the remains of prehistoric inhabitants that were unearthed there. Arrive in time for lunch, which is served at the lodge. The afternoon is at leisure. Dinner and overnight at Ngorongoro Wildlife Lodge. (BLD)
Day 8: Ngorongoro Crater
Descend into the crater for an extraordinary safari at the bottom of this collapsed volcano, where a variety of habitats shelter an amazing array of wildlife, surrounded by spectacular scenery. A picnic lunch will be taken in the caldera. Overnight at Ngorongoro Wildlife Lodge. (BLD)
Day 9: Nairobi
After breakfast, depart for Arusha where you have lunch. Proceed to Nairobi afterwards and transfer to your hotel for overnight. (BL)
Day 10: Departure
The day is at leisure until you transfer to the airport for your flight home. (B)
