Accommodationskeyboard_double_arrow_up
The home was built by the owner's great-grandparents during the Civil War on land that had been granted to her ancestors in 1750. The original flavor of the country farmhouse has been retained with the addition of modern comfort and convenience. Three large guest rooms offer private baths, balconies or porches and comfortable sitting areas. American antiques blended with English and Japanese furniture collected by the owners when they lived abroad add a surprising touch to the old rooms. The wrap-around porch provides a pleasant spot to have breakfast on warm mornings, to read a book or to relax in the Jacuzzi after dark. A two-bedroom cottage across the garden has a complete kitchen/living area for those who would prefer more private, self-catering accommodation. Flower gardens, a rippling stream, meadows and hills surround the home and are available for guests to enjoy.
Amenitieskeyboard_double_arrow_up
The Farmhouse only serves breakfast but arrangements can be made to have meals catered for small retreat groups. A large gathering room serves as a formal meeting place for small groups. In warm weather the porches and walking paths are favorite places for quiet discussions. A telephone, Tv, and vcr are available in the gathering room and the Carriage House. A fax machine can be made available. Local restaurants are 15-20 minutes away but some folk prefer to walk to the little Tomahawk Store to purchase a freshly made sub or soft drink. No fancy exercise rooms at Tomahawk Run but there are quiet paths for the old fashioned walking that so many enjoy.
