The century-old farmhouse of TierraLinda invites you to enjoy the peacefulness of the Jo Daviess countryside. TierraLinda, which means Beautiful Earth, is the home of Armando Villa and his Five Airedales Terriers, Luna, Sol, Mr. Bingo Bruiser, Champs d'Or and Mr.Rudy. The Bed and Breakfast is only 5 miles from downtown Galena but far away from the urban bustle.
The two beautiful guestrooms have queen size beds with European bedding and private baths. A full breakfast is served featuring specialties of TierraLinda.
The house is centrally air conditioned and heated. Located in the first floor living room is Hot Blast Florence, a 1917 potbelly stove, which guests can sit around and enjoy a winter beverage and conversation. During warmer weather, relax on the front porch that has a view of rolling hills and distant farms.
TierraLinda is nestled among 11 acres of meadows and woods. Guests can fish and swim in the pond, sit by the waterfalls or lie on the sandy beaches. One can also stroll through the forest on footpaths that follow cascading streams while listening to the sounds of frogs and birds. The roads around TierraLinda are lightly traveled by cars and that makes them ideal for biking. Hammocks decorate the yards and are available for guests to rest in after a day of antique shopping, biking or hiking.

We need to know your approximate time of arrival. The day of your reservation, please call us at the time of your departure, and inform us when you expect to arrive. If in route, you realize that your arrival time will be different than planned, we ask that you be kind enough to inform us of the delay. Thank you.
Map & Directions
Starting from downtown Galena, go throught the green flood gates and at the stop light, take a LEFT on Rt. 20 towards Chicago (going East); CROSS the bridge over the Galena River (previously known as The Fever River) and go to Fourth Street or Blackjack Road. Take a RIGHT(South) on Blackjack Road and drive about 1.8 miles. When you are driving up a hill, notice on the left a sign that says "Fried Green Tomatoes Restaurant has moved, Turn Here), well do just that, and take a LEFT at that road, which is Irish Hollow Road. Continue on Irish Hollow Road, pass the Fried Green Tomatoes Restaurant and about 200 yards after the Restaurant's entrance, the road comes to a Y. STAY ON YOUR RIGHT, this is the beginning of North Rocky Hill Road. Drive about 2.2 miles on Rocky Hill Road. TierraLinda will be on your RIGHT. It is a farm, with a red barn, a silo and a white farm house, it has a sign at the entrance, WELCOME TO TIERRALINDA
