We are located in Salvador's Historic and Cultural Centre, and a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Pelourinho.
The Galeria 13 experience consists of two colonial houses separated by a 30-second walk: one for travelers who like meeting fellow travelers, and one for travelers seeking a more quiet stay. Let us know if you have a preference so we can try and accommodate you accordingly.

Some things you should know

Depending on the length of your stay or size of your group, Hostel Galeria 13 may ask you to confirm your booking with a further payment directly to the hostel. If required, the payment conditions are: a 50% non-refundable deposit is due to Hostel Galeria 13 in addition to the 10% deposit paid to HostelWorld. The 50% deposit must be made within one week of the HostelWorld booking for it to be valid.

Dates: From February 7th until the morning of the 14th; the booking must include these dates to be valid. Any additional nights will be charged at high season rates. Minimum stay: seven nights. Payment conditions: A 50% non-refundable deposit is due to Hostel Galeria 13 in addition to the 10% deposit paid to HostelWorld. The 50% deposit must be made within two weeks of the HostelWorld booking for it to be valid. Instructions on how to make downpayments will be sent by e-mail as soon as we receive your booking request. Expenses with deposits and transfers shall be borne by sender alone and are not refundable or deductible from total amount to be transferred to secure bookings. Cancellation policy: No refunds on cancellation.
From the bus station:
Cross the footbridge from the bus station to Iguatemi Mall and take the i Prai a da Si minibus at the bus stop just outside the mall.
Don't worry about missing your stop, as you only have to get off at the very last stop, where the bus parks for a few minutes. Walk towards Si o Francisco church; on the same street at the bottom of the hill is located the hostel. You can follow the map to the hostel, or send us an e-mail requesting a Google Maps link with the walk route.
From the airport:
Take the i Prai a da Si bus just outside arrivals, by a bus sign that reads i i nibus Seletivo.i Try to avoid the shuttle's luggage compartments, as this is not an express liner and the bus will do several stops along the way.
Don't worry about missing your stop, as you only have to get off at the very last stop, where the bus parks for a few minutes. Walk towards Si o Francisco church; on the same street at the bottom of the hill is located the hostel. You can follow the map to the hostel, or send us an e-mail requesting a Google Maps link with the walk route.
After 8PM it is advisable to take an airport pickup offered by the hostel. Just e-mail us the flight number, date and time of arrival. Please check with us in advance for availability and price.
Taxi or own transport
We are located on one of the few streets in Pelourinho cars can actually drive along. You have the option of arriving by taxi if you are getting into town late. As the airport is located in the neighbouring municipality of Lauro de Freitas, the cab ride naturally takes quite some time to get to your destination, and be aware that foreigners and Brazilian tourists alike are very likely to be driven an even longer way so that the meter indicates a higher fare than what you would originally pay. Always try to bargain with the cabbies; if you are lucky, you might find one willing to bring you to the hostel for as low as R$ 60, though that's rather unlikely.
If you are coming by your own transport we have the great advantage of having a parking garage just across the street.
