FROM APRIL 2010 WE ARE WAITING FOR OUR GUESTS OUR OWN RENTAL BIKES AND VERY CURIOUS 1 DAY BUS-TRIPS AROUND BUDAPEST!!!

The Baroque Hostel is a newly renovated accomodation in the heart of Budapest! The flat was previously owned by a Baron's family and we preserved the original baroque-bohemian style with a fresh, modern, minimalist design. We offer hotel quality hospitality in a youthful environment at hostel rates.

Baroque Hostel is located near the city park (Városliget), where you can find some of Budapest's most famous sights: Hero's Square, the Museum of Fine Arts, the Art Hall, the Szechenyi Thermal Baths, and the Skating Rink. A short walk from the hostel you will find many typical Hungarian pubs and restaurants at affordable prices.

Dive into the real Budapest using the Baroque Hostel as your base for exploring our lovely city!

We welcome you in our 3 lofts with double beds, or in 4, 8, or 10 person rooms.

We look forward to your visit!

Yours,

Anna and Uwe
of Baroque Hostel Management

Directions

Directions:

From the main railway station Keleti pu. (Eastern Railway Station):
Take the bus number 30 (the bus stop is next to the railway station at the Statue of Gábor Baross) and get off at the 4. stop, which is called Damjanich street. Go across the street and ring the bell at 80/A Dózsa György street.

From Nyugati pu railway station (Western Railway Station):
Take the tram number 4 or 6 in direction to Fehérvári út-Móricz Zsigmond körtér and get off at the second stop, 'Király utca'. Here take the trolley-bus (electric bus) number 70 in direction to Erzsébet királyné útja and get off at the 5.stop Dózsa György street. Go across the street and ring the bell at 80/A Dózsa György street.

From the International Bus Station 'Népliget':
Take the tram number 1 or 1A in direction to 'Bécsi út' and get off at the 9.stop at 'Erzsébet királyné útja'. Here take the trolley-bus (electric bus) number 70 and get off at the 4.stop at Dózsa György street. Ring the bell at 80/A. Dózsa György street.

From the Ferihegy Airport:
By taxi: This is the best way if you are two or more, but do not take the Tourist Taxi co.'s cars or any private taxi, they are very expensive. All you need to do is to order by phone a taxi on 2000000. They charge 3.600 HUF (aprox. 15 euros) per a trip to anywhere in the Pest side of the city. In Hungary it is customary to give a 10% tip to the taxi driver, but you are not obliged to do so if you do not wish. The taxi operators speak English. Tell them exactly in which terminal you are and where you will wait for the cab -normally outside- so that the driver will easily find you. All the public taxis have printed in big characters their phone numbers on both sides of the doors, making it easier to recognize them.

By public transportation:
-by train: if you are in the Terminal 1, you can go by train from the train station which is opposite to the Terminal. It costs 300Ft for 2.nd class (1,3 euros) to the Nyugati pu (Western Railway Station) and it takes about 20 minutes. From there you can follow our instructions above.
-by bus: if you want to go by bus (from both Terminal 1 and 2) you need to buy 2 tickets first (one for the bus and one for the metro) from the ticket's machine at the bus stop or inside the airport bus. Take the bus to the last stop (Köbánya-Kispest) -which is also the last stop of the blue metro line (M3). Then punch the 2nd ticket before you board the metro.
Take off at Nyugati pu and from here you can follow our instructions above.

NOTE: The metro service runs from 04.30 to 23.10 hours every day.

By airport minibus: You can take the Airport Minibus -which is cheaper than a taxi if you are alone. The fee is 2.990 HUF for 1 people, for 2 people it costs 4.490 HUF.

WARNING! In Budapest you need to punch a new ticket every time you change metro lines, buses or trams, so risk of getting a fine. On the lines M2 and M3 the ticket is valid one hour if you travel to the same direction. On the M1 line the ticket is valid 30 minutes. A ticket costs 290 HUF (aprox. 1,2 euros).
