Offering comfortable and classy accommodation and excellent service at an affordable price, Reykjavik Downtown Hostel is one of the most highly recommended HI Hostels in the world. It is nestled a stones throw from the lively harbor area, in the heart of downtown Reykjavik, Iceland, yet in a quiet residential street. Most of Reykjaviks attractions are only minutes away, including Harpa concert hall and conference center and Hallgr�mskirkja church. Reykjav�k Downtown Hostel has been an Eco certified place to stay since 2010.
Facilities include free WiFi in all rooms and lounges, free computer access, book exchange, a coffee bar and a fully equipped kitchen and lounge. Our mostly organic breakfast buffet is a good start to the day. Free movie nights and music events are hosted in the lobby on a regular basis.
The hostel team is happy to give local advice on services and attractions and arrange your tours for free, including the Golden Circle, the Blue Lagoon, horseback riding, whale watching and all kinds of adventure tours. We also arrange car rentals with free pick up, bike rental and all local transport. Great specials and package deals available. We look forward to welcoming you.

Opening hours: The hostel is open 24 hours, all year around. Check in is any time after 14:00. Early Check In can be requested. Check out is before 10:00.

KeflavÃk Airport (50 km): FlyBus and Airport Express run to a schedule connecting with every flight, and will drop you off at the hostel upon request.
Driving from KeflavÃk Airport: Take Route 41/Reykjanesbraut into Hafnarfjordur town. After about 38km. Take the ramp onto Reykjanesbraut. Keep left at the fork. Continue onto Sæbraut. After about 10km it turns into Kalkofnsvegur and then to Geirsgata. Turn left onto Ægisgata. Take the 1st left onto Vesturgata. Destination will be on the right.
Parking: You will find metered parking directly outside the Hostel which is free after 18:00 and on Sundays. Otherwise, free parking is available a short walk away.
