David's Boat offers two seperate rooms with both their own entrances on a classic antique houseboat.

the first room is called the 'roef'' and this is where the captain used to live in the olden days.
very unique antique classic riverschip interior and with total privacy .
the roef has It's own entrance.
both rooms have their own private shower and toilet.
both rooms have central heating witch will keep the rooms cosy and warm.
the second room is situated in another part of the schip 'the former cargo space'wich I have transformed into a very cosy and functional guestroom.
again with private shower and toilet.
the main entrance of the second room is shared.
the guest room is separated from my living quarters by a hall where your toilet and the main entrance is situated.

You will get your own set of keys so there is maximum freedom to enjoy your stay.

David's boat is close to the central station and is nearby public transportation lines witch will make it easy to reach the tourist hotspots (15 min.)

I offer guests the possability to rent bikes.
this will give you even more freedom when you want to explore our city.

I don't have any way to accept creditcards so payments must be made cash on arrival.

I offer a Wifi connection for those who want to bring their own laptop.

smoking is not allowed inside the rooms of David's boat but there is plenty of space on the boat's decks.
The overall ambiance is relaxed

Ideal for visitors who are looking for something different.

Park & Ride
Outside the centre of Amsterdam there are a number of Park & Ride facilities. Those wanting to get into the city can park their car at a 'P+R' site on the outskirts of the city and travel onwards using public transport. After all, P+R gets you into the centre conveniently, cheaply and securely. Conveniently, because from each P+R site you can climb on board of a bus, tram, metro or train that will take you into the city. Cheaply, because you can yor car for only € 5,50 per 24 hours. And securely, because the P+R car parkings are secured so your car is kept under surveillance. So whether you are going into the centre to shop, go out or visit friends or family, choose the convenience, advantage and security of a P+R site.

Please note: Do NOT use your credit card when entering the P&R garage. Only on presentation of the parking ticket issued at the P&R will you receive the P&R discounts (€ 5.50 for 24 hours parking and two free public transport tickets).

The P+R rules:
1.You take a parking ticket from the barrier at the entrance point.
2.Once you have parked your car, take your parking ticket to the P+R kiosk.
3.There, you and your travelling companion will get a NS return ticket for the train or a GVB return ticket for bus, tram or metro into Amsterdam.
4.Important! Make sure to get your return ticket stamped on both the inward and outward public transport trips.
5.When you get back, show your stamped GVB tickets or usedup NS tickets along with your P+R ticket at the P+R kiosk.
6.Then you only have to pay € 5.50 at the payment machine (credit card payments possible).
P+R tickets for more than one day (MP+R ticket):
Are you going into the city for longer than 24 hours? Then ask at the P+R kiosk for a multipleday P+R ticket. This lasts for up to 96 hours. It still costs only € 5.50 per 24 hours.

This MP+R ticket entitles you moreover to two public transport tickets for the journey out by tram, bus, metro or train to Amsterdam. The costs of the return trip (after 24 hours) to the P+R location are not included. Take care! After 96 hours the right to use the multiple-day P+R ticket lapses and the normal hourly or daily rates will apply.

Avoid disappointment
Take advantage of this preferential P+R scheme and stick to the P+R rules mentioned. If you don't use the public transport return tickets, or don't stamp them, then you'll pay the normal parking tariff (€ 10,00).

So avoid disappointment and make sure that you hand in again your stamped GVB tickets or your used-up NS tickets!

A fee of € 1,00 will be charged for each free public transport ticket which is not returned.
