Family-friendly resort near Smoky Mountains with tons of activities . The Deer Ridge Mountain Resort is a series of five buildings on grounds rampant with wildlife . It is not unusual to see deer and turkey running about . And who could resist family-friendly amenities such as a playground, indoor heated pool, steam room, sauna, tennis court and three seasonal outdoor pools? The resort's proximity to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park means hiking, horseback riding and white water rafting are nearby . Rooms look more house than hotel with such amenities as kitchens, fireplaces and balconies . There is so much to do at the Deer Ridge Mountain Resort that many guests hold family reunions on the property . Outdoors, there is a one-acre family playground with a playhouse, swings, a basketball court, horseshoes, a picnic table, grills and a pavilion with pool table, plus three seasonal pools and a lighted tennis court . A sun deck leads to the indoor pool . Other indoor options include a sauna and steam room, and movie and book rentals . Reservation fees and departure maid service charges are collected at check-in . Costs are $58 . 88 for a one bedroom, $64 . 76 for a one bedroom with loft, $64 . 76 for a two bedroom and $70 . 65 for a two bedroom plus loft . Guests must be at least 21 years old to check in . Smoking is not permitted in any condo or on balconies . Sorry but pets are not permitted on property At check-in the Deer Ridge Mountain Resort requires proof of ID from the person named on the reservation, as well as a copy of valid drivers license and major credit card to cover incidentals . Check-in is at 3pm and checkout is at 11am . If arriving after hours the check-in office is open until 11pm each evening, if arriving after 11pm please call to arrange a late arrival packet . We do not offer daily maid service, but do provide towel exchanged at our front desk .
