Guesthouse Hrauneyjar is situated upon the entrance into the Icelandic highlands, on the verge of where civilization ends and reaches transcends to the barren yet beautiful and mystic interior. It is in partnership with Icelandic Farmholidays farm No.670. The hotel is open all year round except during certain days around the Christmas Holidays. The guesthouse has a well-known restaurant with heartwarming food serving up to 180 guests in different seating arrangements. It also have a gas station, a bar, an information center, a fishing center, a hot tub, service facilities, a TV room and a shop selling an assortment of goods and food articles. It also provides daily weather and road reports for travelers venturing into the highlands and many times act as a center for excursions heading there.
