Our Philosophy
We believe a hotel really needs to be open and flexible, which doesn't place any restrictions on its guest. In fact, it should do just the opposite, offering up new possibilities every day.When thinking about Oh Casa, we wanted to create a hotel that wasn\'t quite a hotel. We still wanted it to be a place where you could get a great nights sleep but also wanted it to have a little something extra. A place which put no pressure on it\'s clients, but instead offered up opportunities. We combined the best features of a hotel with the hospitality of a friend\'s house. A place where travelers could feel comfortable enough to make their own drinks, eat breakfast in their room, kitchen, or garden. A place where guests could play their own music, light their own fire in the fireplace. A place where you could enjoy the quiet solitude of your room or mingle over homemade dinners with other guests. Oh Casa is unpretentious and unassuming and yet there is something about it that just makes you smile.

Sintra has really good connections from Lisbon. There are cheap trains leaving every 20 minutes from Rossio Train Station. If you have your own car, it will take you 40 minutes to get from Lisbon, but roads t get busy during peak hours, summer season or public Holidays so it can take a bit longer.
If you come by train, to find OH Casa will be very easy. Exit the 'Sintra' Train Station and turn right on Av Dr. Miguel Bombarda. When you get to a curve about 100m from the Station turn right onto R. Dom Francisco de Almeida. Follow R. Dom Francisco de Almeida until you reach rua Gago Countinho. The big beautiful Green house you see on your right is us. Come on in.
If you come by car, remember we have a Free Parking.
By car from lisbon airport to oh casa sintra
Drive out the airport and get onto the IC 19. Drive all the way to
Sintra which is about 25km away. Stay on the IC 19 until it becomes
the N249 (Rua Elias Garcia). At the round about (you will see a big BP
gas station), take the first exit. At the next roundabout, also take
the first exit (Largo Chão de Meninos), follow it for about 1,2 km.
Continue onto R. Dom Francisco de Almeida (you will pass by a small BP
gas station) until Rua Gago Coutinho appears on your left. We are the
green house (No 2), just park in front of the gate where we will be
there to open it for you. Welcome.'
