Depending on the traffic and the season it will take you around 45 to 1 hour to reach Patong Beach.
You have lots of possibilities to reach Patong Beach.
Mostly tourists take a Limousine Taxi at the arrival hall, this will cost you around 600 bath for a car up to 3 people and 3 suitcases.
You can book it after collecting your suitcase.
Another way to travel to Patong is by Taxi Meter. These Taxis are located on your
right side after you reached the exit of the airport building.
A taxi meter is a little cheaper than a Limousine Taxi, around 500 bath. But a taxi meter is a smaller car so less comfort.
You also can take a minibus, and this will be around 150 bath a person, just know that you will be a little longer on the road due to several stops.
If you travel by own car, after leaving the airport parking you need to turn right and follow Patong Beach signs.
A certain moment you will cross a high mountain with several sharp curves.
After you passed this mountain you turn left at first traffic light.
You drive straight for about 2 km until you see on your right hand side 'Chang Pub',
there is a small street in front this pub, this street is Soi San Sa Bai. When you see Family Mart at your left you reached Apsara Residence because the rooms are
above Family mart.
