Dar Rbab is a 300 year old courtyard house in the heart of the walled medina of Fes. We are close to all the major sites in the medina, and all our rooms have private bathrooms. Starting at
$21 per person
Each room has a double bed, with an en suite bathroom up a flight of steps; like most steps in Fes and Dar Rbab, they're steep. People must have been more agile years ago.
You're on the first floor (or the second floor if you are American!) of an a beautiful old house, originally our family home.
The house is in the region of 300 years old, and has all the features associated with historic houses in Fes. The centre of the two storey building is a courtyard, with pillars supporting balconies at the first floor. Access to all the principal rooms - including the bedrooms - is by massive sets of cedarwood double doors, elaborately decorated and gilded on their inner sides.
We have a full time housekeeper; families with children are welcome.

Directions
We can provide a car and driver who will collect you from the airport or train station, park at Bab el Guissa and then walk you into Dar Rbab - the medina is a medieval walled city and the roads aren't passable by car.
If you prefer to find your own way, I'd recommend parking at Bab el Guissa and asking for the house - the porters all know the house and will carry your luggage for 2 euros.
Absolute walking directions are, frankly, difficult. The medina is nearly 2 square miles and has over 9,000 streets; signs are normally in Arabic and English isn't widely spoken.
