Ready for some Robinson Crusoe jungle experience?. Beautiful tropical setup of two separate bungalows or ranchos, ACCESIBLE ONLY BY WATER. Lounge in a hammock in the open comunal Rancho, read a book, or relax to the songs of tropical birds while watching monkeys play in the trees. Our place is situated by/in the jungle, howler monkeys can usually be heard in the morning, or at night, and may visit our gardens, as may the ocasional porcupine.

The place consists of two separate ranchos, joined together by a short roofed passage. The smaller one in the back has a queen sized bed, in addition to one regular twin bed, and a bunk bed. The larger house in front, facing the river, has a loft with 4 beds. It can accommodate 2 additional people downstairs on sofas. Every bed has a mosquito net, and both houses have ceiling fans. The large rancho has a complete kitchen, as well as dining and living area. To complement this, there is a large terrace outside with river view, eating facilities, and lounging chairs, as well as two dining tables with their respective sun shade umbrellas. You can access and swim in the river from here. There is also a comunal rancho shared with the adjoining Monkey Bay Marina, where you can find our hammocks and a large supply of books in nearly every language, as well as anon kitchen and grill.

Arrival by car: Access is possible ONLY BY WATER. Your stay includes pick-up and delivery from your parking place. Once at the bridge of the Río, ask for Tecnomarina, a safe and convenient place to park your car. Turn right before the bridge as you approach from Guatemala City, and keep going straight. It will be on your right side. Tecnomarina is just after MAR Marine. If you have no phone, ask one of the people at Tecnomarina to make the call for you. Your boat ride will show up more or less in 10 minutes. Our boat is a little 16´ with room for 4-5 people. If you are more than that, your captain will do as many rides as needed. Arrival by bus: Once you reach the Río Dulce go to Sundog Café. Once there, please call us. We will pick you up by boat in around 10 minutes.
