We are located in the Wet Mountains at 9300 feet elevation with all of the recreational amenities and accommodations in the middle of a cattle ranch. There are 4 spring fed lakes, each one fished differently according to ability with one strictly for "catch & release" fly-fishers and another reserved for our fishing Club. 20 miles to the west is the magnificent Sangre De Cristo mountain range with 8 peaks over 14,000 feet and 53 high lakes - all a wilderness area - paradise for back and horse packers.Horseback riding & rafting available.
Typical Day
There are 2 RV parks. One has 18 full hookups (water, power, sewer) under pine trees with ample space for the biggest pull-thru and slideouts. The other RV park has 10 power hookups only with a common water source. This park is used for RV clubs and family reunions who want to be in the same area. This park is also in the pine trees and has lots of unstructured space. Dump station available.
Age range, type of group
The Ranch Guest House has 3 bedrooms, 2 full baths, living room, dining room, equipped kitchen, breakfast area, washer, dryer, bbq, picnic table and fenced yard suitable for pets. Sleeps 6 comfortably and has a great view. Dick's Cabin is cozy (sleeps 4) in the trees with full utilities, frig, microwave. Silver Park Cabin sleeps 4 (double and bunk beds), no utlities but close to bath-house. Sacagawea Tipi (Sioux) sleeps 5, futons, carpeting, heat, close to bath-house.

Rates
We welcome pets as long as they are leached and do not chase the cattle.
Rates range from $12/night for tent camping to $130/night for the Ranch Guest House. Availability is determined by calling 800-453-4379.

Horseback riding is available at a neighbor ranch (Bear Basin Ranch) only 3 miles away. World class white water rafting on the Arkansas River is only 45 minutes away.
On the Cross D Bar Ranch there are miles of hiking and good mountain biking.

From the north take I-25 to Colorado Springs (only 70 miles to the Ranch), then SH 115 to Florence, SH 67 south to Wetmore, right (west) on SH 96 to top of hill, left on Rosita Rd. (CR 328) go 2 miles to entrance on right.
From the south take I-25 to Colorado City and exit on SH 165 which goes northwest and intersects SH 96.
