Built in the end of the 19th century as a Farm house and now restored, Podere San Vitale is located in Busseto 25 Km far away from Parma, in the middle of Parma's Land. The B&B is 5 km far away from Bussseto Train Station, also not so far away from the Airport of Parma (25 minutes)
Podere San Vitale is just a short walk from the Giuseppe Verdi's birth-house and the house where the famous Italian writer Giovannino Guareschi used to live.
The B&B has 3 double bedrooms with 2 guests bathrooms. The bedrooms reflects its distinctive past while adding elegant sophistication to its guests lodging. From the bedroom you can see the Apennines Mountains and sometimes the Lombard Alps.
In our elegant dining room it's served breakfast every morning with natural products.
After breakfast, you can visit the highlights of the Verdian Lands as fine restaurants, shops, antiquity and natural hot-baths. In the evening you can relax yourself in our lovely parlour enjoying a glass of wine, listening to classical music or converse with other guests. All around the house, there is a flowery garden and a big enclosured parking for cars, caravan and campers.
It's easy to reach us: in the centre of "Verdi's Lands" we are located in a strategic position near Parma, Cremona, Piacenza and Milano (50') and a good starting point to visit the Verdian Places like Busseto, Sant'Agata and Roncole Verdi where the Maestro was born and where he learned and played the pipe-organ in the Saint Michele Church. Other more interesting sites: The Rocca of Meli Lupi in Soragna, the Rocca of San Vitale (Fontanellato), the Castle of Colorno and more and more castles all around, and Salsomaggiore Terme, Tabiano etc.
From the Motorway A1: B&B Podere San Vitale is 10 min far away from the Motorway "A1" (Milan-Rome). Leave the motorway at the Exit Fidenza-Salsomaggiore, turn Right to Soragna. When you are arrived in Soragna, turn on the left (to Busseto): after only 5 Km you will arrive in Roncole Verdi. Cross the main square of the Village and turn on left to Fidenza. After 1Km you will find the B&B, a big white house on your right.
From Linate AIRPORT of MILAN: Only 1:20 hour: take HIGHWAY "A1" direction Bologna. Then Exit at Fidenza-Salsomaggiore. Then follow the above-mentioned directions .
From Airport of Parma:it's only 25 min. take the directions to Piacenza/Milano and You will arrive on the road Via Emilia. After 15 Km, just before you enter in the town of Fidenza, follow the signs to Busseto - Roncole VEerdi.
