Kawau Island is situated in the Hauraki Gulf, Auckland, New Zealand. Kawau has been described as "The Jewel in the Crown", majority of the island is in private ownership and the Mansion House Park which is situated in Bon Accord Harbour is managed by DoC. At Mansion House Bay is located a historic house which used to belong to Sir Governor George Grey
Accommodations
Kawau Lodge is assessed by water only. Entrance is via a long jetty which brings you to a tropical garden and then a short flight of stairs leads you to two guest rooms. Continuing up another flight of stairs leads you to the main area of the lodge and a super king rooms is located towards the back via the wrap around deck area. There is an open plan kitchen and dining area plus outdoor dining area. The lodge is situated on an acre of land which has been intensively planted with citrus trees, fruit trees and native trees and bushes. There is a zig zag track which takes you to a top ridge track.

These rooms have been furnished to suit the location and each has an ensuite and tea and coffee making facilities, TV's and DVD

Queen rooms are $210 per night per couple and Super King room is $245 per night for a couple.
Meals range from $25 for one course to $40 for two courses. Breakfast is included in the above rate.

Other Information
We personally come across to Sandspit and collect you. It's a 20-30 minutes boat ride to Kawau Lodge, cost is $25 per person each way.
