We can accommodate up to 4 people per week. There is a big twin room (the Green Room) and a double room (the Blue Room).
We welcome couples, small groups of friends and single people, individuals travelling on their own, so you will be in good company.
We aim to welcome you into our own home and make your stay pleasant and relaxing.
Ca' Del Sole Guest House is right in the heart of Parco Pineta Natural Reserve, an area of luscious pine, chestnut and oak woodland.
On the outskirts of the small town of Appiano Gentile, our family-run country house is strategically situated at the centre of the Como - Milano - Varese triangle, at about 16 km from Lake Como.
A continental breakfast is provided every morning from 8 to 9.30 am. We are committed to using fresh local food and to buying local, supporting the small town shops. Our teas, coffee and sugar are fair-trade and where possible we use organic ingredients. Our free range eggs and fresh milk are from local farms.
For guests on long stay (7 nights +) wishing to eat some meals at home we offer good self-catering facilities in the comfortable and rustic common room. Ingredients can be purchased or ordered from the local shops.
Guest accommodation is carefully planned to retain a homely feel that we hope you will appreciate. We have a maximum of 4 guests at a time, giving a peaceful, communal atmosphere. Guests share the use of the bathroom and the newly refurbished common area / dining room and self-catering kitchen facilities. Our guests value an atmosphere more informal and more personal than in hotels or larger guest houses.
At Ca' Del Sole we aim to offer a wide range of leisure short courses and three-hours workshops run by local tutors and guest artists.
Under their guidance you will learn new skills and have the chance to unleash your creativity, while creating some unique crafts or pieces of art.
Due to the presence of ponds and steep staircases, we are afraid the property is unsuitable for children 3 to 10 years old.
Payment cash on arrival. Reception available from 10am till 9pm, breakfast inclusive.
Please note: At Ca\' Del Sole we have a no-smoking policy. Guests are welcome to smoke in the garden, but not indoors.
A laundry service is available (Euro 5 per wash).
Local bus services, boarding in the main square, take passengers every 30 minutes to Como Town Centre (40' ride) and to the nearest railway station (Lomazzo) for journeys to Milan.
There is a 15 minutes walk from the house to the town of Appiano, but you are welcome to hire one of our bicycles for short outings.
For those who love being independent and are planning to visit a wider area, we recommand to hire a car directly at Milan Malpensa Airport (40 minutes drive to Appiano).
A pick up service is available from Milan Malpensa but must be booked well in advance (Euro 50 per way).
A pick up service from Lomazzo Railway station can be arranged (Euro 5 per way).
