Sunbeam Motel is an affordable motel that is conveniently located near downtown San Luis Obispo and Cal Poly State University. We’re just off Highway 101, providing comfort and convenience to travelers driving between San Francisco and Los Angeles.

We're centrally located for major attractions, from area wineries to the beautiful beaches just 10 minutes away.

Our Standard Double has one queen bed; rates are $49 per room for 1-2 people. One person staying on their own still needs to pay $49.

The Deluxe Twin has two queen beds; rates are $59 per room for 1-2 persons.

If you have four people looking to book one Deluxe Twin Room, please mark that you have '2' guests so you will not be charged for two rooms.

*Please note that you will be charged $6 for each additional person after the initial two people per room.

2. Take Monterrey St. Exit.
3. Then turn right at Monterey St.
4. Sunbeam Motel is aprox. 0.3 miles on your right.

From Los Angeles
1. Take 101 North.
2. Take Grand Avenue/Calpoly exit.
3. Make a right turn on Grand Avenue.
4. Carry on until you reach the traffic light.
5. Turn right at Monterey St.
7. Sunbeam Motel is approx. 420ft on your right
