We provide a free pancake breakfast in the Mamallena cafe as well as having other breakfasts available for purchase. For lunch and dinner we have great homemade hamburgers and chips(french fries), some of the best you�ll find in Latin America. Enjoy the bar at night time, with our reasonably priced drinks, and choose your own music system.
We�ve had years of experience with hostels in Panama and we know what you want and need and we�re here to provide it. Cartagena has a large selection of hostels but we will stand out from the rest.
We are located in the heart of Getsemani, within the walls of Cartagena. On our front door step is Cartagenas best bar and restaurant district, along with all the budget shops and services that you�d need. It�s a 4 minute walk to the historic centre, 5 minutes to the castle of San Felipe, 45 minute walk to the beaches of Boca Grande and a 10 minute taxi ride to the airport. The bus stop is at the end of the road and the marina for boats to Panama is 15 minutes walk away.
Please note:
By making a booking all foreigners are considered to be buying a tourism package, which allows you to avoid a Colombian tax of 16% on top of the price of the room. To receive this you need to present your passport on arrival and sign a form. If you are not able to do this then we will unfortunately have to charge 16% on top of the price shown here.
Colombians are unable to purchase this package and must pay 16% IVA on top of the price shown here.
From the airport it is 8-10 000 pesos in a taxi. Tell the driver ¨el viejo Hotel Holiday en calle Media Luna¨ as we are kind of new and they may not know us yet.
From the bus station you can take a bus called Metro Car and it will take you to Calle Media Luna. Get off the bus and walk along the street, we are on the right hand side.
