Day 2: MILFONTES – AMOGRAVE – 16Km – 4h
Easy walking along the coast with path winds through pinewoods, sand dunes and along cliff tops. You will find some desert beaches and after that you have a tiny fishing village called Almograve.
Accomodation in a Youth Hostel (double room with private WC and shower).

Day 3: ALMOGRAVE – ZAMBUJEIRA – 21km - 5-6h
Heading south from the small village of Almograve along the beach , you can do a short detour to the tiny fishing harbor called "Entrada da Barca". Walking near the cliffs with panoramic views by the dunes. Along this route cliff-nesting storks can be seen. Through Cavaleiro and past the beautiful lighthouse of Cabo Sardão the day ends in Zambujeira.

Day 4: ZAMBUJEIRA DO MAR – ODECEIXE – 21km – 5h
A coastal path near the beaches leads us onto Carvalhal bay, past the former residence of the famous "fado" singer Amália Rodrigues passing "Azenha do Mar" where you can try an amazing seafood meal (the arbour is just 300 meters distance from the restaurant). After this we will have the energy needed to get Odeceixe´s river and reach the first village in the Algarve.

Day 5: ODECEIXE – ST TEOTONIO – 17km – 4h
From Odeceixe we start to go inland, through traditionally farmed agricultural land, however it´s a short walk of 17 km, with a undulating landscape that will leads us to the village of São Teotónio.

Day 6: ST TEOTONIO – ODEMIRA – 19km – 5h
Going direction East from St. Teotónio e will pass through fields where cork oaks grow and black pigs graze. Then we will discover the river Mira margins, direction Odemira (the biggest town of the council). (13 miles/20 km).

*Day 7: ODEMIRA – VILA NOVA DE MILFONTES – 16km – 4-5h
Following the river Mira banks you will discover a very good area to watch birds like eagles and falcons, you just have to follow the old rise fields direction to the Village of Troviscais, then you just need to give us a call and we will provide you transportation back to Vila Nova de Milfontes (30minutes).

*it´s also possible to replace this last for another route near the coast line, because some times in November it stays a litle bit muddy, so we offer you the following alternative:

PORTO COVO- VILA NOVA DE MILFONTES – 16km – 4h
We will take you to the start of this wonderful walking along the coastline always with an amazing sea view. Starting in a very picture historical village called Porto Côvo, passing a small Island called "Ilha do Pessegueiro"with the option to go by the beach taken the hard sand or going a little bit more inland by the dunes path. You will find some stunning beaches, some of them desert, and after that, almost at the end you have a fishing arbour in the "north area" of Vila Nova de Milfontes.
