Situated in the Pearl of the Amalfi Coast, on the characteristic rock facing the sea of Positano, Hotel Il Gabbiano offers one of the most amazing views of the world.
Recently renovated , with its 19 rooms, the hotel keeps a structure based on simplicity and elegance, but especially on brilliancy. You will quickly admire this when you see reception and bar and breakfast hall with its wonderful panoramas on the sea and the bay.
Arches and terraces, sunny all the day, facing the charming sea, are the main characteristics of our hotel.
All of the rooms are decorated with modern furniture and have got private bathroom, direct-dial telephone, central heating, colour TV, and their own private balcony or terrace from where you can fully enjoy a wonderful view on the coast. All the rooms are equipped with air conditioning.

By Car from Rome and Naples:
Reach the main road 'A1' direction south (Napoli) and, after leaving Napoli, take the main road 'A3' to Napoli - Salerno (Not Napoli). Exit at 'Castellammare di Stabia'; take the road SS 163 towards Sorrento and then in the town 'Meta di Sorrento' you will find the indication for 'Positano'. Once you are in Positano, follow the road to the Centre and you will find us after aprox. 500 mt.
From Salerno and the South:
At Salerno follow the Signs that takes you on the Amalfi Coast and than to Positano or just take A3 motorway 'Napoli-Salerno' direction Napoli, exit at 'Castellamare di Stabia' and then the ss163 road towards 'Sorrento'. In the town 'Meta di Sorrento' you will find the indication for 'Positano'. Once you are in Positano, follow the road to the Centre and you will find us after aprox. 500 mt
From Naples Capodichino
From the airport in Naples a bus, operated by the 'Curreri' company leaves several times during the day for Sorrento or you can take the "circumvesuviana" and reach the station in Sorrento. From there take the bus called Sita direction Amalfi and Stop in Positano- Chiesa Nuova. From there you can walk for 5 minutes and you can see our Hotel, that is located on the main road that runs down to Valle Dei Mulini and the centre of the town.
