Giucalem - La Casa negli Orti, Piazza Armerina, is a renovated farmhouse, situated in a wide valley cultivated as a vegetable garden. Here peace of mind reigns, in the utmost privacy. The distance of the B&B from the centre of Piazza Armerina is 1 km, and 3 km from the famous mosaics of Villa Romana del Casale.
The house has been recently renovated with taste keeping its original features, with outdoor garden and ample parking for guests. Inside the property there are four bedrooms, a breakfast room, outdoor space in the garden.
The house is surrounded by vegetable gardens. The morning breakfast is plentiful and tasty. Try the flavored ('cunzato') bread prepared by Maria. Young Alessandro and his vitality will be a wonderful playmate for guests with children. Before going to bed sample the delicious cream of limoncello produced by Maria.
The family of Giuseppe and Maria is an example of Sicilian hospitality. They have created a welcoming atmosphere for guests, who immediately become part of their family. The owner, Giuseppe, who is also the producer of a good organic extra virgin olive oil, offers guests of the Bed and Breakfast Giucalem also the possibility to buy this product packed in terracotta boxes from Caltagirone, personalized and sealed. Of course it is possible to sample all the products of the gardens and all the homemade preserves prepared by Giuseppe's mom.

From Palermo: Take the motorway A-19 PA-CT and follow it to the junction of Enna, then go for the SS 117 bis in the direction of Gela. From the beginning of the motorway it's about 160km.
From Catania: Take the motorway CT-PA and go to the junction of Mulinello, or until the one of Enna. In the first case, continue for a short distance along the road towards Valguarnera, then you get on the freeway (SS), and past Valguarnera, continue until it joins the SS 117 bis at the junction of Enna, Piazza Armerina and Valguarnera and from there you will reach Piazza Armerina after another 8 km. From Catania in total it's about 90 km.
By bus: you will find bus lines in modern buses which run mostly on motorways and freeways. They mainly connect Piazza Armerina directly with Catania and Palermo.
