California, also known as the “Golden State,” attracts tourists from all around the world. California beaches are the perfect place for a summer getaway and the cities of California offer incredible nightlife and an unforgettable urban experience. There are plenty of outdoor and indoor adventures to be had here and pretty much anything you could think of to do on your next vacation, you can do in California! This state is very large and has great tourist attractions and fun things to see and do from top to bottom.
Start your California travels in the southern part of the state, where the second largest city in the country, Los Angeles, is located. Shop, dine and enjoy the lavish and fabulous nightlife in LA. Spend a day in nearby Hollywood, full of movie stars and celebrities, or head to San Diego, home to warm, gorgeous beaches and surf culture! Just up the coast from Los Angeles you will find Laguna Beach, a picturesque beach town where you can soak up the sun or surf the waves, and you never know, maybe you’ll find a celebrity on the beach towel next to you! If you’re traveling with kids on your California vacation, head to Anaheim and spend a few days at Disney Land, the famous international theme park and every kid’s paradise!
Travel up North, to the beautiful San Francisco Bay Area! Check out an art festival, have a delicious dinner on the waterfront and snap a picture of the Golden Gate Bridge. San Francisco is well known for its rolling hills, colorful Victorian style homes, quaint parks and cable car system. Many tourists decide to hop on the old-fashioned cables cars to get from one end of the city to the next. Head out of the San Francisco area, to some of northern California’s state parks, where hundred year old Redwood trees can be found along with a wide variety of wildlife. Try some of the local’s homegrown, farm fresh foods that can be purchased at an outdoor market and stay in a California cabin or B&B Inn.
Travel down the grapevine and catch beautiful views of the Pacific coastline. Head to the Sierra Mountains for a family hiking trip or some adventurous mountain climbing on your California vacation. Next up check out Death Valley, west of LA, where there is more than three million acres of open land; the perfect place for hiking, biking, and sight-seeing.
