Seaweed Secrets (#5/8) For generations, Irish Moss has been harvested along the shores of Prince Edward Island and Gilbert Gillis has been collecting the seaweed since he was a boy. Join Gilbert to learn how harvesting is done, what kinds of seaweeds are found on the Island and which ones are edible. Then you'll help his wife Goldie use Irish moss to make seaweed pie that you'll enjoy with her seaplant soup and Dulce biscuits.
Tong & Shuck (#6/8) You'll never have oysters fresher than the ones you tong yourself and that's exactly what you'll do when you go out on Salutation Cove with fisher Erskine Lewis. He'll show you how oysters are harvested on Prince Edward Island and then you'll learn how to shuck them up yourself.
Winter Wonderland (#7/8) We don't hibernate over here on the Island, we get out and enjoy all kinds of winter activities...and we want to share the good times with you. Why not put a group of friends together and come on over. We'll create a weekend experience (or midweek if you prefer) that will warm your heart on a cold winter's day.
