Retreat Experience for Knitters and Crocheters

Our guests are here to enjoy companionable knitting and/or crochet, with encouragement and guidance from host Heather and from any resident tutor(s).
Dates of 2017 Retreats:
Arrival Thursday 17th August 2017, Departure Monday 21st August 2017
Arrival Thursday 24th August 2017, Departure Monday 28th August 2017
Arrival Thursday 7th September 2017, Departure Monday 11th September 2017
An excursion will take place, encompassing two or more of the following: a visit to a wool producer, yarn fayre, yarn retailer, a brocante or vide-grenier, museum, arboretum, art exhibition, chateau, lake, boat voyage, kayak experience.
Additionally, we can drop off/collect guests who wish to enjoy one of the following: a walk by the River Creuse or River Sedelle or a visit to either the village of Fresselines or Crozant.

A pre-breakfast yoga session might be fitted in. After a leisurely breakfast with hosts, including home-made jam, croissants from Marie-Christine's local boulangerie and plentiful tea and coffee, it is time for a catch-up on individual progress with yarn projects, tips from visiting tutor and the option of a riverside walk, unless it is an excursion day.
A buffet lunch is next, and later, guests can sprawl in the garden with their knitting, a book or whatever. Possibly, river-swimming in the Creuse in the late afternoon will appeal, and/or a visit to one of several local artist's atelier or studio/gallery.
The evening meal is acompanied by wine. Music sessions under the stars are greatly encouraged, and we have instruments. But if peaceful pursuit of yarn projects is preferred, then that is fine with us.
