Just returned from Australia and experienced a fantastic day with this company. Our guide Neil was very friendly, pleasant and taught us so much. We really had an authentic Australian day complete with typical Australian goodies and music in the bus! Even tho the weather wasn't ideal, Neil gave us alternative choices to ensure we had the best experience possible, and we did! We highly recommend this tour with this company. Well worth the price. We also cover both islands of New Zealand through our New Zealand Wild Escapes brand. We offer uniquely designed itineraries to cater for the traveller who wants a luxury small group experience.
Catering for the discerning guest, Australian Wild Escapes provide guests with home prepared morning tea and gourmet lunches and select Australian wines. Travel is in small luxury vehicles with expert commentary from knowledgeable, friendly guides.
Our Tours are an unforgettable and educational experience, transporting guests to areas well off the "beaten track", with historical, ecological and cultural interests. Our guides interpret and bring to life all of your surroundings and you will leave with a head full of wonderful, wonderful memories.
Typical Day
This fantastic Ecotour begins at your hotel and the historical Rocks area of old Sydney.
Heading across the western plains of Sydney metropolitan we make our way to the Great Dividing Range of Australia. It is here we leave the ‘average’ Blue Mountains tourist behind and enter the National Park to unlock a piece of Australia you would never have known existed.
We visit ancient Aboriginal sites and outstanding lookouts, examine rock formations and the unusual plants and wildlife that abound the area.
From the quaint little village of Leura we skirt around Cliff Drive to Katoomba where you will find yourself looking out over the magnificent Jamieson Valley and the Three Sisters.
We enjoy a delicious barbecue lunch including a selection of fine Australian wines and cheeses under the canopy of the Australian bush.
Before returning to Sydney we drop into a hidden valley where we roam the area, seeking out the many kangaroos that graze in the wild (conditions permitting).
Reluctantly we leave the National Park passing by the Olympic 2000 site, arriving at your hotel around 5.30pm
