1 & 2 Day whitewater rafting trips on the South & Middle Forks of the American River. Raft a 1/2 day trip, Full Day trip or a 2 day trip. You can raft just for the day or you may add meals and camping if you like. South Fork is for everyone, 7 years or older and the Middle Fork is for advanced rafters of at least 14 years of age in good condition with prior rafting. 1/2 day trips are 3 1/2 hours river time, Full Day trips are 7 hours with a stop for lunch or the 2 day trip (3 1/2 hours of rafting each day) with 5 meals and 2 nights camping. We raft from April to October of each year. Prices range from $49 to $215 per person.
Our website has detailed information on each trip and discount prices for groups and discounted dates. The 6th rafter is 1/2 fare or every 12th person is Free.

Typical Day

MORNING TRIP is from 8:30am to 12:30pm River time 3 1/2 hours you
may add meals or camping
AFTERNOON TRIP is from 12:00 Noon to 4:30 River time 3 1/2 hours, may add meals or camping
FULL RIVER ONE DAY is rafting the morning and afternono trips on the same day with Lunch, you may add additional meals or camping
2 DAY TRIP, Camp the night before trip, Breakfast with free time.
BBQ lunch and rafting all afternoon with dinner and slide show of you rafting that day. Second day: Breakfast and rafting right away (3/12 hour river time) and then a Lunch after rafting.

Age range, type of group

The South Fork of the American River is for everyone from age 7 and up. Good for groups, families, youth groups, and boy scouts.
The Middle Fork is for advance rafters of 14 years old and up.
This trip is 7 hours with a lunch.

Sleeping and meals

We have a private riverside camp with hot showers and flush toliets and tent camping along the river. All meals are done at the camp, we have volley ball, horse shoes, ping pong, and group firepit and large TV for evening movies. Soda machine and ice machine. All campsite have picnic tables and 80% are on grass.
We have tent rentals if you need a tent. You may stay at a local B&B or motel if you wish and raft during the day. We are located 2 hours from San Francisco and 1 hour from Sacramento or Lake Tahoe.
